About the event
Mindfulness practice is described as being like plunging into a cool lake on a hot day. During this special Daylong Retreat, we will have a chance to deepen our sitting meditation practice through periods of silent and lightly guided mindful sitting and walking meditation.
The day will commence with settling in and Orientation at 9:00am.
We will then continue with periods of indoor and outdoor walking and sitting, a morning tea break, a chance to share experiences and ask questions, a mindful lunch and total relaxation practice. Our practice periods and retreat day will conclude at 3:30pm.
This special retreat day is a great chance to deepen your practice, gain some tips on sitting and walking meditation. In order to benefit most from this day, it is recommended that you have an established practice of meditation and that you have attended a mindfulness retreat prior to this daylong session, or at least have attended three Sundays of Mindfulness at Mountain Spring.
-Please plan to arrive at about 9:15 in order to settle in prior to start time of 9:30.
-Onsite carparking is available at 2651 Bells Line of Road (cnr of Horsfield Rd).
-Please bring a vegetarian dish to share for lunch.
-There is no cost to attend this special Daylong Retreat, but it is being held in support of the expansion of Mountain Spring, and if you find this daylong retreat beneficial and feel so moved to offer a contribution towards the expansion of facilities, then that would be most welcome.
